The kilt pin shown is not recommended for functional use, due to its fineness. If it is subject to bending, it will break. We recommend a steel pin be used so as to work with the brooch. This brooch is 2-1/4 inches in diameter. If this brooch is sewn onto a bag or clothing, the decorative pewter pin will do fine. This brooch is also available flat (works better if you plan to sew the brooch down). |
